Frequently Asked Questions

  • Cannabinoids are naturally occurring compounds found in the Cannabis sativa (hemp) plant, typically extracted for medicinal or recreational use.

  • The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is located throughout our body and is a collection of cannabinoid receptors and enzymes involved in the production and breakdown of endocannabinoids. Endocannabinoids are naturally occurring cannabinoids found within our body. The two most studied cannabinoid receptors are CB1 and CB2. CB1 receptors are located mostly in the brain and CB2 receptors are located mostly throughout the immune system.

  • CBD stands for Cannabidiol and is one of the primary cannabinoids found in hemp. CBD is non-psychoactive and is known to be anti-inflammatory, anticonvulsant, and antiemetic.

  • CBG stands for Cannabigerol and is known as the mother cannabinoid to all other cannabinoids. It is known for providing natural energy, cellular regulation, mental clarity, and aiding in digestion.

  • CBN stands for Cannabinol and is best known for promoting refreshing sleep and calming effects.

  • THCA stands for tetrahydrocannabinolic acid and is the precursor to THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). This legal compound is non-psychoactive as the amino acid prohibits binding affinity to the CB1 receptors. THCA is non-intoxicating on its own; THCA converts to Delta-9 Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) through the introduction of heat. Once you introduce THCA to heat, it converts to Delta-9 THC, which is psychoactive, producing a high.

  • Delta-9 THC (Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) is the compound primarily known to be marijuana, a psychoactive cannabinoid naturally occurring in high amounts in marijuana and lower amounts in hemp. In the state of Tennessee, Delta-9 THC is legal in products at a concentration of 0.3% or less.

  • Delta-8 THC (Delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol) is a hemp-derived psychoactive isomer of Delta-9 THC, known to have a more indica-leaning effect. Delta-8 THC can be produced as a byproduct of CBD via laboratory methods, and it is naturally occurring in the cannabis plant in trace amounts.

  • Terpenes are naturally occurring essential oils found in cannabis plants. There are around 200 terpenes known to be found in cannabis plants. While terpenes are responsible for the aromatic quality of the plant, they are also known to have medicinal effects and work synergistically with cannabinoids like CBD and THC – this relationship is called the entourage effect.

  • Full spectrum refers to all cannabinoids and terpenes expressed in the plant being present in the final product. This includes trace amounts of THC that are naturally occurring in the hemp plant.

  • The entourage effect is the phenomenon that takes place when consuming full spectrum products. With every compound from the plant present, more receptors are activated in our ECS system, creating more efficacy and benefit to our bodies.

  • Tennessee has recently passed House Bill 403, Consumer Protection. This bill regulates the production and sale of hemp-derived cannabinoids. Under this new bill and the 2018 Farm Bill, certain cannabinoids that would usually be illegal are now being regulated.

All of our products are in compliance with the 2018 Farm Bill, meaning that the concentration of Delta-9 THC is less than or equal to 0.3% on a dry weight basis. It should be noted that you should check the local laws in your own state before purchasing as some states have different requirements on cannabis products.

Delta 8-THC is not legal to ship to the following states: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Mississippi, Montana, North Dakota, Rhode Island, and Washington.

  • If you are concerned with passing a drug test, it is recommended that you do not consume cannabis products. Although CBD is not a psychoactive compound, drug tests may not differentiate between its chemical structure and that of THC, which are quite similar.
