Who We Are
Grown Proper is a small batch hemp cultivation and extraction company located in Nashville, TN. We pride ourselves in our organic no-till / living soil practices that in turn allow us to grow and create the most diverse and beneficial products on the market. All products can be traced from seed ensuring complete transparency from seed to sale.
Cultivation
Flowers grown under optimum conditions, in natural soil, have the richest and most diverse nutrient content. We grow hemp indoors in raised beds where they are free from stress, and their roots can stretch and roam. Our soil is loaded with minerals, organic matter, and billions of microbes and fungi that partner with the plants to synthesize and exchange complex organic compounds. In place of harmful pesticides, we introduce tactical predatory insects to maintain a balanced ecosystem. Instead of harsh chemical fertilizers we use natural inputs. Through these approaches, we are able to sustain a living ecosystem that provides us with the most abundant and beneficial end products.
Extraction
At Grown Proper, we are proud to have multiple extraction methods in-house. We achieve various end products for our cannabinoids by molecular distillation, hydrocarbon extraction and solventless extraction. We have also partnered with the Lab at Audrey for terpene extraction, utilizing a microwave-assisted extraction method that has the highest efficiency in the industry. These various techniques allow us to cater to each product that we need, whether that be a full spectrum distillate or a concentrated extract that maintains the full expression of the plant.
Formulation
Our onsite chemist handles all of our formulations in-house, working directly with third party testing centers to ensure complete transparency for our consumers. All of our ingredients are carefully researched and each formula is developed to give our customers a true representation of the plant and experience the many benefits that the cannabis plant provides.
